As prom is right around the corner, girls are in desperate need of a gown. For last minute dress shopping, here is a compilation of stores and a brief description of each’s qualifications to be your prom pick (by a self-proclaimed last-minute shopping expert).
First, always check a store’s return policy. If it has an easy return policy then it is an automatic bonus towards buying the dress.
House of CB
If you are willing to spend a little extra for reliability, House of CB is your best bet. Their dresses are known for being structured, flattering and “effortlessly expensive” in appearance. Shipping, usually 2-4 business days, is relatively quick for those experiencing last minute panic, a lifesaver when the countdown is real.
Peppermayo
Peppermayo has cute and affordable options that do not drain your bank account. Many of their trendy dresses feel very Pinterest-esque, but the tradeoff is the shipping time. It usually takes longer (5+ business days), so this is not your best bet if you are running out of time.
Their return policy is great, with returns allowed for full refund within 30 days of delivery.
Beginning Boutique
Beginning Boutique is a bit of a gamble, which can sometimes be fun when shopping, but not so much when prom is right around the corner. Beginning Boutique knows what’s trendy, so it’s expected to find your dream dress there. Their online store with shipping usually takes a week, but they have a local store located in Pacific Beach.
Windsor
Windsor always saves the day when last minute shopping. With two stores being roughly a half-hour drive away from the school, this can be your same-day solution if it really comes down to it. Their return policy is fairly standard, allowing 14 days to to return it for a full refund.
If you are truly down to the wire on last-minute prom dress shopping, prioritizing fast shipping or in store shopping is important over anything else. Prom is April 18, meaning there are only 10 more days to find your ideal dress.
