Photo Gallery: PALs Suicide Prevention Walk

PALs hosted the annual Suicide Prevention Walk on Sept. 6, inviting clubs both on and off campus. Historically, the event has been held on the first Saturday of Septemeber — suicide prevention awareness month.

Scripps Ranch High School senior and Student Wellness Education and Resources (SWEAR) co-chair Nita Kamath holds a “Reasons to Stay” Post-it board. Athough this was the first year they were invited to the school’s Suicide Prevention Walk, SWEAR also hosted an annual March for Mental Health in the district in March.

Bring Change to Mind — a national high school and middle school program across 43 states — was created to stop stigma around mental illnesses.
