What started for Lana Weber as a passing interest in writing has evolved into a full blown passion for telling other people’s stories. As she embarks on her junior year and second year on staff, she’s excited to take on the role of Feature Editor for the first time. Weber is most looking forward to connecting with and befriending new staff members, as well as continuing to improve the paper. Weber is beyond grateful for the opportunity to take a bigger leadership role within the Falconer, and is committed to creating an encouraging and welcoming environment for both new and old Falconers. In her free time, she enjoys reading fantasy books, watching tv with her parents while wrapped in a cozy blanket, and spending time with her favorite cousin and toddler in the entire world. Outside of her home and school, Weber can often be found at the barn hanging out with her horse Ozzy and her teammates. As someone who loves dancing with friends at concerts or turning up melancholic tunes during long car rides, Weber strives to fill her days with music from her favorite artists, such as Phoebe Bridgers, Boygenius, Noah Khan, Slow Pulp, Role Model, Lorde, and so many more. One of her goals for this year is to create more balance in her life within her packed academic and athletic schedule, as well as spend more time doing the things she loves with the people she loves. She also hopes to delve deeper into her passion of animal science, and wishes to become a stronger writer through her work on the Falconer.
As Elsa Goodman enters her third year on the Falconer, she is excited to carry on her journalism career as the Director of Social Media on staff this year. Goodman is passionate about journalism and everyday happenings in the world, as she believes that staying informed fuels a drive to bring fresh, engaging content to the Falconer. Beyond the realm of journalism, Goodman loves traveling the world to experience different cultures and discover new aspects. Whether Goodman is at the beach with friends, practicing yoga, sewing an outfit or on an airplane to her next destination, she finds joy in life’s simple pleasures. With a passion for storytelling and a zeal for creating engaging content, Goodman is excited to dive into the dynamic world of social media. With a strong goal to build a vibrant online community that connects people, Goodman is eagerly looking forward to this next school year’s exciting changes ahead as the Falconer embarks on a new chapter.
